ME Chile:
Mas Errázuriz was born in June 1980 with a strong focus on civil works and building projects. Soon in 1982, he began his foray into mining construction at the El Indio site, where he executed projects for 16 years.
The growing trend of outsourcing by large mining companies allows Mas Errázuriz to expand its services and create expertise in the local industry.
Horizontal and vertical excavations, construction of ramps, tunnels, caverns, shafts, chimneys, industrial plants, industrial assemblies, and mineral extraction tasks are the main tasks that have been developed for the main mining conglomerates in the country, such as the different divisions from Codelco, Anglo American, Yamana Gold, and Collahuasi, among others.
In the 2000s, the Energy sector was expanded, awarding important hydroelectric projects such as Laja in Chile and El Platanal in Peru. In each of the executed projects, water conduction tunnels for hydroelectric plants, caverns of various lengths, and all types of civil works have been developed. In addition, it has high standards of associated technology such as low-profile equipment specialized in drilling, blasting, loading, transportation, excavation, concrete spraying and fortification.
Mas Errázuriz in Latin America
Mas Errázuriz's expansion to Latin America began in the 90s with a notable presence in projects associated with the mining and energy industry, which have been executed with high standards of operational quality and associated technology. Among these, the presence in two countries on the continent has stood out:
Peru:
More than 15 years ago, projects began in the neighboring country, highlighting the execution of underground tunnels and civil works associated with two large hydroelectric plants: El Platanal in the district of Zúñiga and Quitaracsa in the district of Huallanca.
In addition, important projects have been developed for mining companies such as Angloamerican (Quellaveco copper mine), Doe Run (Mina Cobriza) and Bechtel International (Mina Antamina), with the construction of adduction tunnels, caverns and civil works.
Argentina:
Under extreme weather conditions in the province of Santa Cruz, the Cerro Negro project, by the Canadian company Goldencorp, was developed. Exploration tunnels, access ramps, galleries and chimneys were developed in this gold and silver mine.
